Li Chuan Yun, also known as Chanyun Li or Babeli (born 1980), he is a Chinese genius violin virtuoso. He began studying violin at the age of 3 and won his first prize in Beijing when he was five. At eleven, he received the top award at the Fifth Wieniawski International Youth Violin Competition; he is the youngest winner in the competition’s history. He is often cited as the youngest professional violinist in the world. His favorite violin is a 1784 Guadagnini what on loan from the Stradivari Society.
Giovanni Battista Guadagnini began his career in Piacenza about 1740-41 and within a decade became the most important violin maker in Northern Italy. After he moved to Milan and his style fully matured, it was here that he made some of his most successful violins. The good example is what is one of the most attractive Guadagnini violins we have seen, with low arches, broadly spaced soundholes, a robust model, and attractive orange-amber varnish. It possesses a noble, warm, and powerful sound. It has been the property of an violinist and collector for more than 40 years.
Chuanyun Li used the violin in the international stage many times and gained a plenty of honor.
